FOR 10 MONTHS, say residents, he lived with the terrible secret that he had killed his girlfriend.
They say he murdered her, wrapped her in bloody duvet covers, tied her up with wire and dumped her body in a half-dug pit toilet.
BUT WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER POLICE CAME KNOCKING AT HIS DOOR, DERRICK SAMANISI HIMSELF WAS DEAD.

Nomahubi Peter is still in shock over her brother’s death

A MENTALLY ill man’s life was ended by a cop’s bullet when police intervention in a family drama went wrong.
Vincent Peter died bleeding two houses away from his home yesterday morning.
The 26-year-old from White City, Soweto, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2004.

But not everything people write on Facebook is true.
And in this case the death announcement was a bad joke in poor taste made by Camagwini’s cousin, Andiswa.

BAFANA Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane today begins his tough task to qualify for the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
Mosimane will announce his squad to play minnows Ethiopia in the opening 2014 World Cup qualifier scheduled to be played at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on 2 June.
It’s “Operation Make or Break” for the under-fire Mosimane, who failed to qualify for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon earlier this year. He knows his job is on the line.
Mosimane has now gone eight matches without a win and the team scored only four goals in those games.
He simply cannot afford another bad result against a side like Ethiopia, ranked 138th in the world and 41 in Africa.
There is more pressure on Mosimane with South Africa hosting the 2013 Afcon, starting next January.
Mosimane was told by his bosses at the SA Football Association (Safa) that failure is not an option regarding 2013 and 2014.
He is not expected to ring the changes because Bafana do not have a big pool of players. To solve the goal drought Mosimane will draft in veteran striker Siyabonga Nomvethe who blasted in 20 goals for title-chasing Moroka Swallows in the league this season.
Speculation is that he will bring back Free State Stars mdifielder Paulus Masehe.
The good news is that Israel- based leftback Tsepo Masilela has recovered from injury.
